Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk helps rural schools to purchase equipment for laboratory classes in chemistry and physics.
In the current academic year, the students of Ust-Pyora and Chernigovka schools of the Svobodnensky district study not only the theory of chemistry and physics.
The schools have received everything necessary for their practical classes.
Funds for procurement of laboratory equipment (microscopes, scales, reagent kits, flasks, test tubes, and other accessories for modeling physical and chemical processes) were given by Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk acting as the investor, owner and operator of the Amur Gas Processing Plant.
Yuri Lebedev, General Director of the company, visited the open lessons today.
Ninth-grade students demonstrated chemical experiments and performed practical work using an electron microscope.
Seventh graders conducted research for calculating the average speed of uneven movement using the sets of physics equipment.
Eight-grade students showed how they are mastering the assembly of robotics with the help of modern designer kits also purchased at the expense of Amur GPP owner.
«Chemistry and physics are the most important school disciplines: when studying them, one needs to touch everything with one's hands; this is the most interesting thing in the entire school curriculum. We want you to feel interested in natural sciences. If you decide to continue your studies in this field, then you will be welcomed by universities where you will acquire a profession and then get the job of your life with our support,» says Yuri Lebedev.
«The activities carried out by Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk suggests that the company is here to stay. We will work in order to ensure that the graduates become qualified professionals, and the Amur Gas Processing Plant provides them with decent work,» says Valentin Yachny, First Deputy Head of the administration of the Svobodnensky district, while thanking the company for the assistance provided.
Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk is a standing partner of the administration of the Svobodnensky district in terms of social policy matters. For three years, the company has repeatedly allocated funds to improve the material and technical resources of the rural schools.
For example, a robotics club has been opened, a hockey field has been restored, sports equipment and uniforms for the school team have been purchased, repair with replacement of the window units have been financed in the Yukhta school. Sports and technical facilities of Chernigovka and Ust-Pyora schools have also been updated.
