Annual comprehensive industrial environmental monitoring starts at Amur GPP construction area

Experts of the Centre of Laboratory Analysis and Technical Measurement for the Far Eastern Federal District (a branch of the Centre for Laboratory Analysis and Technical Metrology in the Amur Region) measure air quality in the industrial giant area.
Atmospheric air is sampling at the following six control points: within the boundaries of the four nearest settlements of the Svobodnensky district and in the sanitary protection zone of the plant.
The experts use their gas analyzers to assess the level of carbon and nitrogen oxides, nitrogen and sulfur dioxides, hydrocarbons, benzapyrene and hydrogen sulfide, as well as suspended solids (dust).
Once again, they note that even at the sampling stage the indicators are stable and do not exceed the maximum permissible concentration of pollutants in the air.
Even so, all samples will be sent to the laboratory to confirm the result. More than 3,000 samples were taken during the Amur GPP project implementation, and no excess pollutants were ever recorded.
