Three students from Svobodny Gazprom class win Gazprom's All-Russian industry contest for schoolchildren

Three Gazprom class students of Svobodny school 1 became the prize-winners of the annual industry contest for schoolchildren held by Gazprom together with the leading Russian universities. Svobodny's eleventh graders Dmitrii Vatrubin, Alina Kiseleva, and Vyacheslav Klimovich received their category III diplomas in engineering.

The final stage of the contest in engineering was held in March this year at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, where the students from all over the country who had passed the preliminary qualification gathered. The Svobodny's Gazprom class students solved the project task by applying the skills in design, modeling and operating special-purpose equipment: milling and laser engraving machines and a 3D printer.

In addition to the prizes from the host for winning the contest, the Gazprom class students receive additional points for the unified national exam when entering Gazprom's partner universities. The main goal of the All-Russian industry contest of Gazprom schoolchildren is to find gifted students capable of technical creativity and innovative thinking, as well as those planning their careers in the oil and gas industry. The contest has six areas: economics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science, physics, and engineering.
