Students of Svobodny social shelter will be able to learn sewing and making souvenirs with the support of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk
Extracurricular room has opened in the Svobodny social shelter today. Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk (the investor, the owner and the operator of the Amur GPP) has purchased the following equipment for the handicraft lessons: sewing machines, an overlock sewing machine, a steam generator, specialized furniture as well as tables, racks and shelves, equipment for making badges, a computer, and a printer.
«Our teachers have selected the training programs for the children to learn sewing and souvenir making. The children will learn how to make badges, sew textile goods and toys on their own and acquire useful skills,» says Irina Romanova, Director of the social shelter.
Extracurricular room is part of the rehabilitation and socialization project for the students of the Svobodny social shelter which has been implemented with the support of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk since 2019. A psychological relief room with a sensory room and a modern Logo Castle speech therapy complex have opened with the financial support of the gas industry workers. Since the project commenced, the shelter's teachers have noted positive dynamics of rehabilitation of the children, and their school performance has increased.
Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk not only improves the facilities of the educational institution. Amur GPP employees and the students planted trees ans shrubs on the territory of the shelter, repaired and painted the gazebos last year. On New Year's Eve, the children with the adults decorated their Christmas tree toys.
