Bauman Moscow State Technical University employees complete internship at Amur GPP

The employees of the Power Engineering Scientific Training Centre of the Bauman MSTU have completed their first internship at the Amur GPP. Teachers and postgraduates majoring in cryogenic gas mixtures separation process got acquainted with the features of the process at one of the most modern and high-tech gas processing plants.

«It is important for us to understand how advanced technologies and processes are implemented in production. This will complement the lectures and the laboratory works of gas mixtures separation process as well as the coursework and the senior thesis, and the scientific work of the students,» said Alexander Krotov, Associate Professor of the E4 Department of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

«We are planning to send the students to the on-the-job training at the Amur GPP. Cooperation between the industrial plants and academic institutions in the field of science and technology is priority in our university. Such internships improve the teachers» proficiency and success of their academic research works," said Anastasia Kazakova, First Deputy of the E4 Department Chair of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

Plant employees presented the entire process chain to the Bauman Moscow State Technical University employees: from the inlet of natural gas from the Power of Siberia main gas pipeline to shipment of the gas separation products to the consumers. The guests also visited the Training and Production Center of the Amur GPP where they were shown the work of a computer simulator complex and a virtual reality training system.

«We have discussed the extension of cooperation on the curricula and courses that are in demand at the Amur GPP, on-the-job training of the students at the gas separation and commercial helium units. It is possible to improve the internship programs of the academic staff at the industrial facilities. Practice-oriented cooperation is always useful since it enables acquiring comprehensive knowledge of the process and enables the students to find a job at the Amur PP in the future,» says Danis Fayruzov, First Deputy Director General of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC.
