Career guidance meetings of students with Amur GPP employees were held in several colleges and universities of Tomsk

The career guidance meetings were held at the following educational institutions: Tomsk Industrial and Humanitarian College, National Research Tomsk State University, Tomsk Polytechnic College, Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics.

Ruslan Bukembaev, Deputy Head of the Department for Production No. 1, Andrey Shaposhnikov, Head of the Department of Automatic Process Control System Engineering, Vladislav Hudov, Head of the Department of Water Supply and Disposal, Vitaly Markov, Head of the Department for Repair of the Pumping and Compressor Equipment, took part in the events.

It is Tomsk that has a large number of higher and secondary educational institutions that train professionals who may be in demand at the Amur GPP. Employees of the Hiring, Training and Development Department informed the students about the plant, the employment requirements and on-the-job training.
Professionals of the process divisions shared their experience and answered the students' questions. In their turn, the staff of the educational institutions offered tours of their laboratories with the equipment where the students improve their skills.

69 students completed application forms for the on-the-job training and subsequent employment at the Amur GPP as a result of the career guidance meetings.

The following conditions are necessary for the on-the-job training:

  • Be a student of years 2 through 4 of the bachelor's program or years 1 through 2 of the master's program or a college student majoring in one of the following: Chemical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Automation and Computer Engineering.
  • Have an average grade of at least 4. 
  • Have a qualification certificate in one of the professions: chemical laboratory assistant, process unit operator, instrument operator, process unit/compressor/pump operator, process unit repair locksmith.
  • Not have any medical contraindications for work.

Start with the following:

  • Get acquainted with information about the Amur Gas Processing Plant in official sources.
  • Prepare a detailed CV and a cover letter indicating the period, and if it is necessary the additional terms of the on-the-job training at least 2 months before the start thereof.
  • Send the CV and the cover letter to PRAKTIKA@AMURGPZ.RU.
  • Wait for the feedback from the Amur GPP representative about the on-the-job training and get further instructions.

In addition, a letter from an educational institution addressed to the General Director of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC about the on-the-job training, as well as a program of the on-the-job training in accordance with the curriculum, a contract, and other documents are required.

Graduates with the bachelor's degree have the opportunity to become the employer-sponsored students on the basis of the results of their on-the-job training and to find a job at the Amur Gas Processing Plant.
