Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk buys new equipment for chemistry classroom at school 6 in Svobodny

Opening ceremony of the renovated chemistry classroom was held at school No. 6 in Svobodny. Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk (investor, owner and operator of the Amur GPP) funds were used to purchase the following items: a mobile digital laboratory, chemical reagents, chemical utensils, stand rods, Petri dishes, an electronic showcase demonstrating solubility of acids, bases and salts in water, Mendeleev's periodic system of chemical elements, and much more.

«Our company helps you to learn and improve yourself. You have an opportunity to choose a good profession ever since your school days. I hope that you will not lose a flair for chemistry and come to our plant as young professionals. The plant needs qualified employees desiring to work and whose eyes shine like yours and your teacher's,» said Irina Zakharova, Head of the central plant laboratory of the Amur GPP.

Irina Zakharova talked to the students about the equipment used at the Amur GPP and about the young professionals of the central plant laboratory. The students demonstrated how the new equipment enables them to train and improve their skills: they showed experiments using the new chemical reagents, tested the mobile digital laboratory by determining the acidity level of various drinks.

«You haven't just equiped the school, you've gifted knowledge to the children, thank you very much! The new equipment will heighten the children's motivation. Actually, we have one of the most well-equipped classroom which has everything. Together with the students, we are performing project works: for instance, we study composition of food products and medicinal drugs to understand which ones to use better, we test soil for nitrate content,» Natalia Nepomnyashchaya, chemistry teacher, thanked the gas industry workers.

Teachers of schools in the Amur region have been seeing a high level of interest of students in natural science because of the active development of the gas chemical cluster, with the Amur GPP being its cornerstone. Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk is interested in active students at all levels of training interested in chemistry and physics who might become the plant employees later. For this reason, the company has been actively helping the educational institutions of the region to improve their facilities for studying chemistry, physics and computer science since 2016.
