Amur State University students visit Amur GPP construction site

Amur State University students of years 2 and 3 who are being trained in the field of chemical technology got acquainted with specifics of equipment for cryogenic gas separation, found out the employment conditions at the modern plant, and obtained professional advice directly from the Director General during the visit to the Amur GPP. On the eve of Russia Day, many students led by Andrey Plutenko, President of the Amur State University, have visited the construction site of one of the world's largest gas processing plants. Yuri Lebedev, Director General of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk (investor, owner and operator of Amur GPP), personally welcomed the students.

«We have to train our future professionals for the process throughout the entire learning process. It is important to obtain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills simultaneously and undoubtedly, the students will acquire them during their on-the-job training. In order to adapt our future professionals to this process, it is necessary to acquaint them as deeply as possible with the process chain and the specifics of equipment. I would like the students to set their hearts upon with self-advancement at the modern high-tech plant. Amur GPP is a plant where one can realize one's wildest ambitions, achieve professional success and become a sought-after professional engineer of the future,» said Yuri Lebedev, Director General of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC.

Amur State University is a party to the tripartite agreement on providing the Amur GPP with human resources. The agreement was signed in October 2018 between Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC, Gubkin University and the Amur State University.
«It is a very strong motivation when students see a possible place for their future work at the flagship of the industry development. In particular, when Director General personally offered tours of the plant. Such forms of cooperation between the university and the plant allow to obtain much more knowledge and shape a systematic understanding of the field. I used to see the plant from a helicopter window and was impressed. Today, I saw the Amur GPP from the ground for the first time. I am deeply impressed with it, and it is very interesting,» says Andrey Plutenko, President of the Amur State University.
The leading universities' students of our country have had the chance to come and have their on-the-job training at the Amur GPP for several years. This summer alone, 83 students including the Amur State University students are going to have their on-the-job training.
