Commercial metering stations for feed and commercial gas of the Amur Gas Processing Plant ready for operation

Construction of commercial metering stations for feed and commercial gas at the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP) has been completed. Tests are carried out on the measuring equipment designed for continuous monitoring of the volume, pressure, temperature, density, and composition of the gas. Metering process for feed and commercial gas is fully automated.

Earlier, the internal pipeline system of the Amur Gas Processing Plant was connected to Power of Siberia main gas pipeline: four lines of the connection gas pipelines have been tied in. Two of them are intended for receiving feed gas to the site, and two are for transporting commercial methane (one of the products) back to the gas transport system.

Background

Amur Gas Processing Plant will become one of the world's largest natural gas processing sites with a capacity of 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Commercial products, in addition to purified methane, will include ethane, propane, butane, pentane and hexane fraction, NGL, and helium. Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (member of Gazprom Group) is the investor and owner of the Amur Gas Processing Plant project. Construction is managed by JSC NIPIGAS.
