Svobodny hosts Safe Childhood town festival for pupils with Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk support

As part of Safety and Me project, the interactive event was hosted by youth leisure centre Vizit with support of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk in Svobodny on October 15. It was attended by EMERCOM and FEGC employees, medical professionals, rescuers, traffic police inspectors, and officials of Grom and Legion town search and rescue teams.

Competing at the community centre, 10 school teams participated in a quest to answer questions of the traffic inspectors, firefighters, and rescuers and learnt how to provide first aid to an injured or drowning man. The contestants received coloring books with safety rules and completed a Friend or Foe game to define who is unsafe to communicate with. They were also provided with handouts with safety rules when in nature containing information on prevention of burns, animal and insect bites, and much more.

«Everyone knows that oftentimes life and health of children depend on preparation for unsuspected situations. The pupils showed their knowledge and solidified their skills during the event. We have been hosting these play dates through Safety and Me project initiated by Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC since 2019. In addition, we come up with something new every year and involve specialists from different services,» said Galina Tkachenko, head of the youth leisure centre Vizit.
