A discussion of the university staff with their former students-now the professionals at Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk (investor, owner and operator of the Amur GPP)-became an important item in their agenda. Oleg Podsvirov, Chief Process Engineer, and Albina Sagitova, Lead Chemical Engineer at the central plant laboratory, are among the Gubkin University graduates. It also employs Daria Kuranova, Alyona Sinichuk, Ekaterina Zemlyakova, and others who graduated from Amur State University and now work as chemical analysis laboratory assistants.

«I am glad to see my teacher Mr Tonkonogov at the Amur GPP! Gubkin University has given me some excellent fundamental knowledge, which is necessary in the industry. Now, I am ready to share my experience and show the processes with the latest equipment to my teachers myself,» Oleg Podsvirov, Chief Process Engineer at Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC, shared his impressions of the meeting.

«The plant makes a great impression. This is a new stage in the development of the Russian gas processing industry. We strive to have our graduates, both from Moscow and Amur region, come to work at the plant,» Mr Tonkonogov said.

The meetings were held under a trilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of workforce provision for the Amur GPP signed by Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC, Gubkin University, and Amur State University. The company participates in development of the university curricula, accepts their teachers for internship and their students for on-the-job training, and employs the best of them.
