Expert group consisting of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk professionals named the winners of the regional phase of WorldSkills Russia Competition
The 7th regional phase of WorldSkills Russia ended today in the Amur region. Introduction of the Oil and Gas Refining skill became the feature of this competition. Amur Technical College in Svobodny was one of the three Russian venue for it. This educational institution has purchased the necessary equipment specifically for this purpose: a computer training complex simulating the hydrocarbon processing, samplers and laboratory equipment for determining the physical and chemical parameters of products. The experts included the professionals of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk (investor, owner and operator of the Amur Gas Processing Plant).
Competition tasks were performed by the college students majoring in Chemical Processes. For several days, they have been simulating the start and shutdown of the process unit on the simulator, practiced sampling and quality control of product samples, and trained in prevention of incidents and emergencies.
Experts worked at each stage of the competition. They included the staff of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk: Olesya Ganieva, chemical analysis technician of category 5 of the central plant laboratory, and Anton Sadovsky, operator of process units of category 6 of process area 1 who became the finalist of WorldSkills Russia competition among oil and gas company professionals himself three years ago.
Experts noted that the competitors demonstrated a decent level of knowledge and skills.
Summing up the results of the 7th regional phase of WorldSkills Russia competition.
«Professional skill competitions are valuable experience for young professionals because competitors undergo practical training directly at sites where everything is close to the real process,» says Ms Ganieva.
Anton Sadovsky recommended participating in professional skill competitions as often as possible and creating one's own competition portfolio that a potential employer will appreciate.

According to the results of the competition at the Oil and Gas Processing venue, Denis Ponomarchuk took the first place, Natalia Zinovieva took the second, and Evgenia Shtepa and Tatiana Andreychuk shared the third place.
