Environmental Monitoring Results Prove Safety of Amur GPP Construction Site

The experts of the Far Eastern Center of Laboratory Analysis and Technical Measurements have completed the planned research of environmental conditions at the Amur GPP construction site. The results of comprehensive industrial environmental monitoring have proven the compliance of main parameters with Russian and international environmental safety standards.

During May and June environmental experts have been gathering the samples of surfacing water and bottom sediments of Bolshaya Pyora river, the samples of soil and ambient air within the battery limits of the plant, at the borders of nearby residential area and at the site of the Amur GPP landfill. Besides, noise level measurements have been made. The results of the monitoring by Far Eastern Center of Laboratory and Technical Measurements prove the compliance of all the parameters with standard values.

Industrial environmental monitoring is performed at the Amur GPP construction site on a routine basis since the start of the project implementation. Safety of the construction site is proven by results of analysis of over 2000 samples.

Background

Construction site of Amur GPP is located in Svobondy District, Amur Region. The designed annual capacity of the plant is 42 bln cubic meters of gas.

First train of the plant was put into operation on June 9, 2021.

The investor and the owner of the Amur GPP construction project is Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (part of Gazprom Group). Construction management is executed by NIPIGAZ JSC.
