Students of the Amur State University are mastering specialization program at Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas with the support of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC

15 students of the Amur State University who are majoring in chemical technology were sent to a one-and-a-half-month specialization program at Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. Financial support was provided by Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk, investor and construction owner, and later the operator of the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP). The program of additional specialization for Amur students includes lectures on oil and gas processing, petrochemical synthesis and lubricants, as well as laboratory work on gas and oil processing.

The company has assumed the financial commitments to organize the training of all fifteen Amur students. Six of them already have the status of a company-sponsored student of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC.

In a month, the students will return to Amur State University to prepare their final qualification papers. Before the presentation, six company-sponsored students will undergo practical training at the Amur Gas Processing Plant, and will also continue their master's degree programs at Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas and Far Eastern Federal University.

Background

Back in 2017, the Amur State University obtained the status of the key partner of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC.

In October 2018, Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk, National University of Oil and Gas «Gubkin University» and Amur State University signed a trilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of providing the Amur Gas Processing Plant with human resources.

The Amur Gas Processing Plant of PJSC Gazprom will become one of the world's largest natural gas processing sites with a capacity of 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Commercial products, in addition to purified methane, will include ethane, propane, butane, pentane and hexane fraction, and helium. Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (member of Gazprom Group) is the Investor and Owner of the Amur Gas Processing Plant project. NIPIGAS JSC, a leading Russian center for engineering, procurement, logistics and construction management, manages the construction.
