The ethane extraction column is installed at Amur GPP 4th process line

The installation of gas separation equipment has begun at Amur GPP 4th process line

The first installed equipment is a 40 meters long ethane extraction column (deethanizer) with a weight of 110 tons. The foundation for installation of this column was arranged preliminary, and a crawler crane with a lifting capacity of 600 tons was also used.

Deethanizer was delivered from the temporary jetty to construction site of Amur gas processing plant by self-propelled modular transporters. In order not to interfere with car traffic and to ensure road safety, transportation was carried out at night at a speed of 5 km / h with stops at special platforms for letting other cars pass. The trip of 20 km took two days in total.

In the near future, a methane extraction column weighing 831 tons and almost 88 meters long will be delivered from the temporary jetty to construction site of Amur Gas Processing Plant. This is the largest equipment to be installed at the 4th process line.

Справка

Amur GPP will become one of the world's largest natural gas processing plants. Its design capacity amount to 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The plant will consist of six production lines, with the first two planned to be commissioned in 2021. In addition to methane, the GPP commercial products will include ethane, propane, butane, pentane and hexane fraction, and helium.
Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (member of Gazprom Group) is the Investor and Owner of the Amur Gas Processing Plant project. Construction is managed by NIPIGAS JSC, a leading Russian centre for engineering, procurement, logistics and construction management (part of SIBUR Group).
