Construction personnel of the Amur Gas Processing Plant provide assistance in reconstruction of the main boiler house in Svobodny
Contractors involved in construction of the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP) are assisting in modernization of the main boiler house of Svobodny.
The construction personnel of the Amur Gas Processing Plant provided the municipal utility services with equipment with a loading capacity of 100 tons which was used to install an ash collector to the upgraded boiler No. 3. The reconstruction will increase the capacity of the boiler house by 10% by the beginning of the heating season of 2019–20.
The need to modernize the main boiler house of Svobodny is caused by active housing construction. With its completion, all social and cultural facilities and the residential sector of the central part of the town will be provided with thermal energy.

Gazprom's Amur Gas Processing Plant will become one of the world's largest natural gas processing plants. Its design capacity will amount to 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. GPP will also include the world's largest production of helium — up to 60 million cubic meters per year. The Amur Gas Processing Plant is an important link in the process chain of natural gas supply to China via the Eastern route. The plant will receive the multi-component feed gas from Power of Siberia gas pipeline from the Yakutsk and Irkutsk gas production centres currently built by Gazprom with its Eastern Gas Program.
Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (member of Gazprom Group) is the Investor and Owner of Amur Gas Processing Plant project. Construction is managed by NIPIGAS, a leading Russian centre for engineering, procurement, logistics and construction management (member of SIBUR Group). Peak time for construction will be in 2019 to 2020 when over 25,000 workers will be mobilized to the site.
In connection with implementation of the construction project for the Amur GPP, a residential microdistrict is being built for 36 townhouses and 42 apartment buildings with a secondary school, a kindergarten, a clinic, a community center, and a sports complex in the northern part of Svobodny.
