More than 500 people took part in the Sports Contest of the Amur GPP in Svobodny since the beginning of the year

The second Sports Contest of the employees of the companies participating in construction of the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP) ended today in Svobodny. Athletes competed in a relay race and weight lifting. Earlier this year, competitions in skiing, volleyball, shooting, mini-football, table tennis, basketball, swimming and chess were already held as part of the Sports Contest. In total, more than 500 people took part in the Sports Contest.


«The Sports Contest of the employees of the Amur Gas Processing Plant has become another good tradition. This year, the teams of foreign partners have taken an active part in it for the first time. So, the Sports Contest has reached an international level. Sports competitions build character, develop a willingness to fight for results, which helps to achieve high results not only in sports, but also in the professional realm,» said Andrey Belousov, Deputy General Director of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC.
Athletes, spectators and organizers were also welcomed by Vladimir Klyushin, Director of Economic Security at NIPIGAS, and Alexander Zemlyanov, Head of the Physical Culture and Sports Department of the Svobodny administration.
According to the results of the team competition of the second complex Sports Contest, the places were distributed as follows: 1-NIPIGAS, 2-Techno Prom Engineering, 3-Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk, 4-Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk, 5-Servis-Gazifikatsiya, 6-Tecnimont, 7-Yamata, 8-Gazprom Trans, 9-Insystems, 10-CGGC, 11-CPECC.

Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC is the investor and owner of the Amur Gas Processing Plant project. Construction is managed by the general contractor NIPIGAS. More than 60 companies are taking part in construction of the Amur GPP, and about 24 thousand people of construction personnel are mobilized.
In 2018, Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC and NIPIGAS Trade Union signed an agreement on joint organization and holding of the Sports Contest for the employees of the companies involved in construction of the Amur Gas Processing Plant. In 2018, 8 teams took part in the first Sports Contest, competitions were held in eight disciplines. In 2019, 11 teams competed in ten disciplines.
