Environmental staff of the Amur GPP release final batch of young carp into Zeya river

Environmental staff of the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP) completed the cycle of offset measures to restore the water bioresources in the area of implementation of the large-scale project. Today, the last batch of young carp was released into the Zeya river: one and a half thousand fry, each weighing 5 grams, with the participation of the representatives of the Federal Agency for Fishery. They will have to grow to commercial size for about five years. Similar releases have been systematically conducted in Svobodnensky district since 2016.

«Today's release of carp fry into the Zeya river was carried out to support the bioresources in the area of construction of the Amur Gas Processing Plant. In just four years, about 60 thousand young carp have been released into the Zeya river,» said Andrey Belousov, Deputy General Director of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC.
Constant environmental monitoring is carried out, also on water bodies, during construction of the Amur GPP. During the entire observation period, no contamination has detected and no excess of the maximum permissible concentrations has been recorded. Centre of Laboratory Analysis and Technical Measurement for the Far Eastern Federal District regularly confirms that construction of the Amur Gas Processing Plant is carried out in full compliance with the Russian and international environmental standards.
