Bauman Moscow State Technical University staff completes internship at Amur GPP
A group of six engineers and teachers of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University specializing in cryogenic technologies studied the Amur GPP process features.
During their internship, the university staff saw the key gas processing stages: from the supply of natural gas into the plant from the Power of Siberia main gas pipeline to shipment of gas separation products to their consumers. The visitors saw the stationary gas chromatography complexes for measurement of trace impurities in commercial helium in the central plant laboratory. The guests also visited the Training and Production Center of the Amur GPP where they were shown the work of a computer simulator complex and a virtual reality training system.
«Thanks to this internship at the plant, we can study in detail the process units, including the helium liquefaction equipment. Control principles, diagrams, parameters of the units and other information obtained will help us to modernize the research base of the department,» says Georgy Kosenko, member of the staff of Department E4 Refrigeration and Cryogenic Equipment, Air Conditioning and Life Support Systems at Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
This is the second visit of the staff of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University to the Amur GPP. In April 2022, the first group of the teachers and graduate students of the Moscow university completed a similar internship at the gas processing plant.
