Victory Alley in Svobodny now has 118 new seedlings

Employees of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk and students of school 1 in Svobodny, including the Gazprom class students, took part in planting new seedlings on the Alley of Memory laid in the year of the 75th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This event has already become traditional for the staff of the company and the sponsored school where the Alley is located. Hundred and eighteen new plants have been planted here: acacia of the Caragana ussuriensis species, Amur linden, sakura, mock orange, and other Russian Far Eastern plants.

About 600 trees and shrubs have been planted on the Alley in just four years of the campaign. The seedlings are ideal for the Russian Far Eastern climate and are purchased in the seed fields of the Amur region. Among the participants of the campaign this year were the employees who planted their first trees and those who have only recently came to the Amur land.

«I am pleased to see how the territory of the school is being transformed. The plants we have planted are growing stronger and blooming. Sakura is especially pleasing. It is important that the children are happy to participate in the campaign. This helps to strengthen the memory of the Victory and environmental education of the younger generation,» says Nadezhda Pavlovich, environmental professional and chief specialist of the Environmental Department of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC who stands at the origins of the campaign.

The planting in the Alley is also part of EkoSvoboda volunteer environmental project initiated by the Public Council of the Amur GPP in 2017 with the participation of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk.
