Amur GPP receives certificate of readiness for 2022–2023 autumn and winter operation
Checking of the Amur GPP readiness for the autumn-winter operation period has been completed. According to its results, Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk (investor, owner and operator of the Amur GPP) has received a certificate of readiness for the autumn-winter operation period of 2022–2023. A committee which included the dedicated Gazprom Group employees has issued an affirmative statement and noted the high level of the Amur GPP readiness for winter.
Amur GPP generate its auxiliary power with two boiler houses with a total capacity of about 90 MW. There are more than 50 ventilation units and individual heating points which are connected to the boiler houses by a 56 km long heat distribution system on the Amur GPP territory. This plant heating system is capable of operating in forty-degree freezing and providing a temperature of at least 95 degrees for the direct heat-transfer fluid flow and 70 degrees for the recycle heat-transfer fluid flow.
Preparations for the autumn-winter operation period began in the spring of this year. From May to September, Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk employees of the Heat and Gas Supply Department flushed the trunklines and internal heating systems, cleaned the heat transfer equipment, performed operational tests of the boiler equipment, hydraulic tests of the heat distribution systems, and performed a few other activities for improving the equipment reliability in extremely low temperatures.
