Members of Council of Young Scientists and Specialists at Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk participate in Shelf Frontier youth technical forum

The first ever Shelfovyy Rubezh (Shelf Frontier) youth technical forum was held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk from October 4 to 7 at Gazprom Dobycha Shelf Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. It was attended by the representatives of 20 organizations: Gazprom subsidiaries, oil and gas industry companies, research and educational institutions. The forum aims to establish peer-to-peer links between young professionals in the industry, pool knowledge, create conditions for synergy of skills and competencies of young professionals, develop new solutions and approaches for successful implementation of strategic projects and improve work efficiency.


Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk was represented at the forum by Oleg Shakirov and Ksenia Popova, members of its Council of Young Scientists and Specialists. For three days, the Amur GPP professionals-together with other forum attendees-worked on various cases with topical issues related to development of the oil and gas industry, including import substitution, and participated in brain games and trainings. Following to the results of the competitions, the teams which included Oleg Shakirov and Ksenia Popova took the second and third places.
A panel discussion was held on the final day of the forum with the participation of the heads of Sakhalin-2 and Sakhalin-3 projects: Aleksandr Singurov, Head of Sakhalin Energy Production Directorate, and Valerii Guryanov, General Director of Gazprom Dobycha Shelf Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Young professionals discussed the implementation of Sakhalin projects, current activities and prospects of their companies, as well as the principles that every gas industry professional should be guided by.
