Status of implementation of Amur GPP and Amur GCC projects, environment, charity and vaccination presented to the public
First meeting of the Public Council of the Amur Gas Processing Plant and Amur Gas Chemical Plant Projects (Amur GPP/Amur GCC) in 2021 was held in Svobodny. At the beginning, the Chair of the Public Council Galina Tkachenko introduced its new members: Natalia Volkova, Deputy Director of school No. 9 in Svobodny, Vyacheslav Portnyagin, Deputy Director of sports school No. 1 in Svobodny, Irina Romanova, director of the Svobodny social shelter for children, Natalia Fedorova, director of the shopping center, Natalia Mironenko, head of the association for disabled children We Are Together, Eduard Zeynalov, manager of the delivery service and blogger, and Irina Tsemenya, director of Yukhta school. The Public Council of Amur GPP and Amur GCC projects was established in 2016 and consists of 20 permanent members being the representatives of the public of Svobodny and Svobodnensky district.

The meeting was opened with reports on the status of implementation of the gas chemical cluster projects. Due to the anti-epidemic restrictions, the construction of Amur GPP and Amur GCC continues in a closed perimeter mode.
«An additional 20,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been delivered to the Amur Gas Processing Plant to protect the construction personnel. We are currently conducting a large-scale vaccination campaign aimed at creating collective immunity,» says Andrey Belousov, Deputy General Director of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC.

Andrey Belousov recalled that a landmark event would take place in 2021: the start-up of the first process line of the Amur Gas Processing Plant; its commissioning works are underway.

Alexey Vereshchagin, General Director of Amur GCC LLC, spoke about the construction of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex facilities. An important event for the project this year will be the delivery and installation of oversize equipment like the pyrolysis columns and other in the upcoming navigation period.
«Another key event was the launch of the production site for our own concrete, with local manufacturers participating in supplies of materials for it. On-site concrete unit consisting of two facilities, the total capacity of which is 220 cubic meters of mortar per hour, has been deployed and put into operation. On-site concrete production will allow the project to not depend on suppliers, independently control the quality of the product, and ensure the necessary pace of work. Capacity of the units will allow providing the construction site with our own concrete to the full extent,» said Alexey Vereshchagin.
The participants of the meeting discussed the projects of the companies to support local communities in Svobodny and Svobodnensky district. Irina Dmitruk, Head of the Public Relations and Media Department at Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC, spoke about the projects implemented so far at the expense of the company and at the initiative of the team.

«This year, a computer science class has been opened for children with special needs at school No. 5 in Svobodny, a sensory room has been equipped in the social shelter, and two strollers with built-in step-walkers have been purchased. In addition, the social ward of the Svobodny hospital which houses children left without parental care has been equipped. Windows and doors have been replaced and modern designer kits for robotics clubs have been purchased for Yukhta and Chernigovka schools. Employees of the company personally supported the campaign to help children with Down syndrome called „Orange Mood“, and purchased clothes, bicycles, scooters and materials for creativity for the students of the Svobodny social shelter. Projects worth 3.5 million rubles are being executed in H1 2021,» says Irina Dmitruk.
Gleb Fedotov, head of the practice of interaction with authorities and implementation of social and economic projects of Amur GCC, introduced the participants to the projects that will be implemented this year in Blagoveshchensk and Svobodny within the framework of SIBUR's own social investment program called Formula of Good Deeds. Among them are 11 socially significant projects of local NGOs that became winners of the grant competition: 4 projects in Blagoveshchensk and 7 projects in Svobodny and Svobodnensky district. A solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the competition was held in March. The authors and developers of the projects received grants from SIBUR for their implementation. In addition, with the participation of SIBUR, 12 more interregional projects will be implemented in Svobodny and Blagoveshchensk in 2021, which will cover 5 areas: «Urban», «Sports»," Education and Science"," Culture", "Environmental". Among them are "Early Career Guidance for Students", "Amur Literary Festival", a large-scale federal project "Steel Character", the development of the basketball movement, an environmental quest in the format of "Clean Games", a business forum "Code of Leadership", and other.

Second graduation of students of the dedicated Gazprom Class opened with the support of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC at school 1 in Svobodny will take place in 2021. Project curator Natalia Chernykh spoke about the conditions for enrolling students in the third group of Gazprom Class, as well as about further potential targeted training of children in the Amur region in the partner universities of PJSC Gazprom with potential subsequent employment at the Amur Gas Processing Plant.

The Public Council meeting also discussed the issues and appeals of local residents to the management of Amur GPP/Amur GCC projects.
