The National University of Oil and Gas «Gubkin University» and Amur State University will jointly train personnel for Amur Gas Processing Plant
On 16 of January 2019 President of the National University of Oil and Gas «Gubkin University» Martynov Viktor, General Director of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC Lebedev Yuri and President of Amur State University Plutenko Andrey held a business meeting in Moscow dedicated to training personnel for the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP).
The parties discussed in detail the roadmap for training qualified specialists for the Amur GPP needs on the basis of AmSU, which is the largest regional university.

Among the important sectors: AmSU teachers training on the basis of National University of Oil and Gas «Gubkin University» in the relevant disciplines, training of personnel, elaboration of additional professional education programs "The supply chain of helium at Amur gas processing plant", the joint implementation of the discipline "Technology of helium production at Amur gas processing plant" within master's program "Chemical engineering", development of academic methodological books, laboratory equipment and organization of research and development.
«As the main university of the oil and gas industry, we have gained a huge work experience with regional educational institutions in terms of preparing a training base for gas industry specialists. Even today our teachers are ready to actively engage in work with Amur State University,» said Viktor Martynov, President of Gubkin University.
«A scientific and educational center has already been created on the basis of Amur State University, together with Gubkin University, which participates in the development of higher education programs in the field of Chemical Technology. It is planned to implement an elective course „Technology of helium production“ specifically for AmSU students who plan to get themselves a job at Amur Gas Processing Plant,» said Andrey Plutenko, the President of AmSU.
The action plan for cooperation also involves the selection of AmSU graduates during the state final certification by representatives of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC and Gubkin University for master's degree within the targeted training agreements.

Since the beginning of 2019, Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk has been recruiting personnel for the main production site of the Amur Gas Processing Plant to participate in the commissioning. After the plant reaches its design capacity, about 2500 employees will work at the production site.

A program of activities on training personnel for key sectors of the economy of the Far Eastern Federal District and youth support in the job market was approved in August 2018 till 2025 by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1727-р dated 18.08.2018. In October 2018, Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk, National University of Oil and Gas «Gubkin University» and Amur State University signed a trilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of providing the Amur Gas Processing Plant with human resources. Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (part of the Gazprom Group) is the investor, owner and operator of the Amur GPP construction project. Amur GPP will become one of the world's largest natural gas processing plants. Its design capacity amount to 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The plant will consist of six production lines, with the first two planned to be commissioned in 2021. In addition to the purified methane fraction, the GPP commercial products will include ethane, propane, butane, pentane and hexane fraction, and helium.
