Two Russian gas pumping units are being prepared for start-up on third process line of Amur GPP
Commissioning works are nearing completion on two Ladoga gas pumping units (GPA) installed on the third process line of the Amur GPP. More than 40 employees of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk acting as the owner, specialists of NIPIGAS acting as the general contractor, as well as specialists of manufacturers are involved in the commissioning works.
In the near future, the equipment will be tested in conditions as close to normal operation. The final tests of the equipment were previously performed. This includes checking the operability of the gas turbine control systems and the fire safety systems. The first hot start-ups have already been carried out on one of the units.
GPU-32 Ladoga are the key equipment of booster compressor stations (DCS), which will pump the purified methane fraction into the Power of Siberia gas pipeline for further transportation along the Eastern route. Each of the six booster compressor station is equipped with two gas pumping units. Ladoga gas pumping units feature high output and efficiency, reliability under harsh climatic conditions of the Far East of Russia, such as low temperatures and seismicity of up to 8 points. Ten of the twelve Ladoga gas processing units have now been delivered to Amur GPP. Delivery of the last part is planned before the end of this year. Eight units have already been installed on the first four lines of the Amur GPP and installation works of the GPU-32 Ladoga are underway on the fifth line.
