Fifth line of the Amur Gas Processing Plant sees installation of process equipment

Installation of the process equipment is underway on the fifth train of the Amur Gas Processing Plant. In particular, the reflux tank was installed in the low-temperature gas separation unit. It is designed to separate the liquid phase from the flow of the ethane fraction.

PSA unit was installed on the third helium unit. This unit purifies the helium gas from nitrogen, argon, neon and other impurities. This is the final stage of treating helium gas before it is fed to the liquefaction unit.

Before that, large-capacity equipment was installed on the fifth production line: columns for separation of propane and butane, and feed gas adsorbers. Process pipelines and cable lines are being installed, and metal structures are being welded now.

Справка

The Amur Gas Processing Plant of PJSC Gazprom will become one of the world's largest natural gas processing sites with a capacity of 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Commercial products, in addition to purified methane, will include ethane, propane, butane, pentane and hexane fraction, and helium. Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (member of Gazprom Group) is the Investor and Owner of the Amur Gas Processing Plant project. Construction is managed by NIPIGAS JSC, a leading Russian centre for engineering, procurement, logistics and construction management.
