Installation of the feed gas cooling unit commences on the fourth line of the Amur Gas Processing Plant

Installation of the cold box of feed gas has been completed on the fourth process line of the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP). It is designed to cool the natural gas entering the plant before being fed to the gas separation columns and is an important element of the cryogenic gas separation complex.

Total weight of the installed equipment of the cold box is about 1,400 tons, its height is more than 77 meters. The equipment consists of seven modules, two of which are already installed on the project foundations. The modules are assembled into a single unit using a crane with a lifting capacity of 1600 tons. Earlier, three similar feed gas cold blocks were installed on the first, second and third process lines of Amur Gas Processing Plant.

Справка

Amur GPP of PJSC Gazprom will become one of the world's largest natural gas processing plants. Its design capacity amount to 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The plant will consist of six production lines, with the first two planned to be commissioned in 2021. In addition to natural gas, the GPP commercial products will include ethane, propane, butane, pentane and hexane fraction, and helium.
Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (member of Gazprom Group) is the Investor and Owner of the Amur Gas Processing Plant project. Construction is managed by NIPIGAS JSC, a leading Russian centre for engineering, procurement, logistics and construction management.
