Assembly of storage tanks for products begins at the Amur Gas Processing Plant
Installation of spherical tanks for storing commercial products like propane, butane and pentane and hexane fraction has begun at the Amur Gas Processing Plant.
The tanks were manufactured for the Amur Gas Processing Plant by special order at Uralkhimmash plant (Yekaterinburg). The volume of each tank is 2,400 cubic meters, which is four times higher than the parameters traditionally used in industry (600 cubic meters). This solution has significantly reduced the steel consumption of the storage park and reduced the area required for it.
Справка
PJSC Gazprom’s Amur GPP will become Russia’s largest natural gas processing plant and one of the largest plants of this kind in the world. Its design capacity will amount up to 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. GPP will also include the world's largest production of helium — up to 60 million cubic meters per year.
Amur GPP is an important link in the process chain of natural gas supplies to China in the Eastern route. The plant will receive the multi-component feed gas from Power of Siberia gas pipeline from the Yakutsk and Irkutsk gas production centres currently built by Gazprom with its Eastern Gas Program.
Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (member of Gazprom Group) is the Investor and Owner of Amur Gas Processing Plant project. Construction is managed by NIPIGAS, a leading Russian centre for engineering, procurement, logistics and construction management (member of SIBUR Group).
Peak time for construction will be in 2019 to 2020 when over 25,000 workers will be mobilized to the site.
