Chinese CPECC to Participate in Amur GPP Construction Project

Based on the results of the open competitive tender, it was decided to invite China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (СРЕСС, affiliated with CNPC) to take part in the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP) construction project as an EPC-Contractor.

In accordance with the contract, CPECC will do the engineering, manufacturing, supply of equipment and construction of booster compressor shops, gas dehydration and treatment facilities, gas fractionation units.

Involvement of Russian manufacturers of compressor equipment and a Russian specialized organization to supply E&I systems for all facilities is a mandatory condition.

The contract between NIPIGAZ (General Contractor that performs Amur GPP construction management) and CPECC will be signed in the nearest future.

Background Information

The Amur GPP will become Russia’s largest natural gas processing plant and one of the largest plants globally. It will have a design capacity of 42 billion m3/yr of gas. The plant will also include the world’s largest facility for helium recovery with a capacity of up to 60 million m3/yr of gas.

Linde AG is a supplier of main process equipment for the Amur GPP which will do cryogenic gas separation with the recovery of helium and valuable petrochemicals.

Gazprom's Amur GPP will be technologically connected to the Deep Hydrocarbon Conversion Complex, the project of which is currently under consideration by SIBUR.
