Amur GPP employees arrange for career guidance meeting for Bauman MSTU students

More than 40 students and graduates of the Faculty of Power Engineering at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University took part in the career guidance meeting with the employees of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk acting as the investor, owner and operator of the Amur GPP. Anatoliy Zherdev, Dean of the Faculty, university authorities and teachers in the Refrigeration and Cryogenic Technology, Air Conditioning and Life Supporting Systems Department provided active assistance to this event.

Oleg Podsvirov, Head of the Office of the Chief Process Engineer at Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk, talked in detail about modern equipment and sophisticated technologies used at the Amur GPP. The students and teachers were shown the film about the plant and provided with information about potential employment for the young professionals and on-the-job training for the students. As a result of the meeting, 16 students and graduates filled out their questionnaires necessary for the on-the-job training or employment at the Amur GPP.

In addition, the Amur GPP employees were offered a tour of the Refrigeration and Cryogenic Technology, Air Conditioning and Life Supporting Systems Department as well as the Scientific and Educational Center for Cryology during the meeting. They were shown modern low-temperature laboratory and experimental equipment used by the students and staff in the department for computational and experimental work on natural gas liquefaction in relation to Russian climatic conditions as well as conducting research in the field of heat exchange and hydrodynamics of machines, equipments and units for natural gas liquefaction.

BackGround

The following conditions should be met in order to complete an on-the-job training:

• Be a student of years 2 through 4 of the bachelor's program or years 2 through 4 of the specialist's program or years 1 through 2 of the master's program or a college student majoring in one of the following: Chemical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electric and Power Engineering, Water Supply and Disposal, Automation and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electrical Equipment, Cryogenic Engineering and Technologies.

• Have an average grade based on the results of the passed vocational subjects of at least 4. 

• Have a qualification certificate in one of the professions: chemical laboratory assistant, process unit operator, instrument operator, process unit/compressor/pump operator, process unit repair locksmith, electrical equipment repair and maintenance engineer.

• Not have any medical contraindications for work.


Start with the following:

• Get acquainted with information about the Amur Gas Processing Plant in official sources.

• Prepare a detailed CV and a cover letter indicating the period and, if necessary, any additional terms of the on-the-job training at least 2 months before the start thereof.

• Send the CV and the cover letter to PRAKTIKA@AMURGPZ.RU.

• Wait for the feedback from the Amur GPP representative about the on-the-job training and further instructions.

In addition, a letter from an educational institution addressed to the Director General of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC about the on-the-job training, as well as a program of the on-the-job training in accordance with the curriculum, a contract, and other documents are required. Graduates with the bachelor's degree have the opportunity to become the employer-sponsored students on the basis of the results of their on-the-job training and be employed by the Amur Gas Processing Plant.
