Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk volunteers support garden project at school in Svobodny

Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk employees gifted to school 192 students the following seedlings of Far Eastern beautiful ornamental plants: mock orange, weigela, and euonymus. As a result, the Amur GPP volunteers have supported the school botanical project on urban landscaping. Together with the students, the gas workers planted the seedlings in the garden is a small plot located in Novy Byt street where extracurricular activities with advanced curriculum in biology for the students of grades 4–8 are held. The students have told and shown the proper way to prepare the soil for plants during joint activities.

Pure love for biology which is instilled in the students by their teacher Galina Zenina is a peculiarity of school 192. The students study the curriculum both in theory and in practice under her guidance. During the classes in the garden, the students will learn the following: what is the best time for rooting and grafting trees and shrubs as well as planting and caring for plants. Today the school oasis has been replenished with new specimens of Amur flora with support of the Amur GPP volunteers.
«The students combining science and practice contribute to the landscaping and show that everyone can make our city better. We were pleasantly surprised by the gift from Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk. We are also grateful for the support of our project,» said Galina Zenina, biology teacher at school 192 in Svobodny.
Planting in the city is a part of the volunteer environmental project EkoSvoboda which was initiated by the community council for Amur GPP in 2017 together with Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk (investor, owner and operator of the Amur GPP). Over the years, a lot of environmental actions have been implemented on the territory of Svobodny and Svobodnensky district.
