Preparations for cold start of Ladoga gas pumping units underway at Amur GPP process train 3

Preparations for cold start of Ladoga gas pumping units underway at Amur GPP process train 3. Commissioning personnel is now performing oil flushing of the lubrication system of the gas turbine units and the centrifugal compressor, individual tests and functional tests of individual components. Shaft alignment and other activities are also being carried out.

Ladoga units are the key equipment of the booster compressor stations at Amur GPP. Two gas pumping units are available at each booster compressor station. Methane fraction extracted at the gas separation units will flow back into the Power of Siberia gas pipeline with their use. Eight Ladoga units have been delivered to the plant. All 12 units are scheduled to be supplied by late 2022.

The units are manufactured in St. Petersburg at Nevsky Plant (member of Gazprom Energokholding Industrialnyye Aktivy Group). It is the only manufacturer of stationary gas turbines with a capacity of 32 MW in Russia. Ladoga gas pumping units feature a high degree of reliability and operational availability, low carbon dioxide and nitrogen emissions, significant service life, also in challenging climatic conditions at low temperatures and seismicity up to 8 points.
