Flare stack has been launched at the Amur Gas Processing Plant. Plant specialists filled the flare system equipment with gas and lit the flare burners in the early morning hours of February 20.

Flare stack of the Amur Gas Processing Plant is 70 meters high. Flares at the GPP is an important element of ensuring the safety of the process.

Gas processing enterprises are equipped with this equipment in accordance with the federal law in the field of industrial safety (Federal Law No. 116-FZ dated 21.07.1997 (as amended on 08.12.2020)), as well as the relevant Rostechnadzor regulations.

The Amur Gas Processing Plant of PJSC Gazprom will become one of the world's largest natural gas processing sites with a capacity of 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Commercial products, in addition to purified methane, will include ethane, propane, butane, pentane and hexane fraction, and helium.
