Construction Progress of Amur Gas Processing Plant Reaches 72% in January 2021

First month of 2021 has added almost two percent to the overall progress of construction of the Amur Gas Processing Plant. In January, the overall degree of completion of the future giant of Gazprom was 72%. Distributed control systems (DCS), emergency shutdown system (ESD), and gas contamination control systems are being transferred to commissioning at the first start-up complex (process line 1 and 2) and the first helium unit.

Construction and installation are underway on all process lines.

First large-capacity equipment has been installed at the gas separation and helium liquefaction units on process line 5, and the foundations are being erected under giant columns and the fourth pair of Ladoga gas pumping units is being installed on process line 6. In January, works on the key facilities of the utilities, infrastructure and offsites necessary for the launch of the first start-up complex have entered the final stage. In particular, finishing works are almost complete in the priority premises of the central operator room, and the boiler equipment is being set up in the administrative and amenities area. Heat has been supplied to the administrative and industrial buildings of the first priority: the fire extinguishing pump station; the water treatment station; the fire station; the power supply building. The key reservoirs of the water treatment facilities with a volume of 10,000 cubic meters are available to receive water. Preparations are underway to lift the flare stack.

The first start-up complex, including the first two production lines and the helium unit, is planned to be put into operation in 2021.
