Employees of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk have joined the Orange Mood campaign which supports children with Down syndrome

The Orange Mood campaign takes place in March across the country: its participants support children with Down syndrome.
In Svobodny, it was joined by concerned citizens, including the employees of Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk.
The meeting with children, who also need emotional support, was initiated by Svobodny hospital and the association of parents with disabled children We Are Together (Russian: Мы вместе).
The event was held in the Amur Medical College on the eve of the World Down Syndrome Day.
Volunteers from among the students of the medical school and the railway institute were told about the problems associated with this disease, explained how to properly interact with special children.
Doctors emphasized that good medical care and support from family, friends, and society allow children with Down syndrome to lead a full and productive life.
At the end of the meeting, little Sergey Popov and Nastya Mironenko presented oranges to all the volunteers.
This fruit was chosen as a symbol of the campaign not by chance, but because it resembles the sun in shape and color, and children with Down syndrome are often called «sunny».
Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC provides charitable assistance to disabled children on a regular basis. A computer science class has been opened at school 5 in Svobodny thanks to the company donations.
Medical inventory in Bardagon rehabilitation center, as well as in Svobodny hospital has been replenished. Kitchen equipment has been replaced at Svobodny special boarding school for visually impaired children. The company also provides individual assistance to children: It has purchased wheelchairs with a built-in step walker and paid for kinesiotherapy and hippotherapy classes.
